As they say in poker, you shouldn't be raising unless you're prepared to go all in......

So say you raise. Then someone raises or all ins then you want to fold? You talking about trying to bluff and if they don't go for it you want to fold? Very interesting indeed if thats what you sayin.

you can use the $aActions[0] (it counts all ins) check out action.au3 for more info.

I think the raise was actually written with a 'upto' in it but i just never used it. I'll look at it and see. If we start to use it tho it will be for all the raises. Probably have to add a preflopraiseuptoamount = and 3 more for the flop hands.
So now when your set to raise and someone raises or all ins, he will call. But youd rather have him call the raise up to X amount. Right? I think i'll need more peoples input before i make a decision to do this or not.

I know what DJ is talking about as we use it a few times already. Like call_once will call unless $aActions[0] or $aActions[1]. But mosh, you want it to go to a certain amount tho and that will need to do pretty much what call_upto is doing. It will be a raise_upto i suppose. Hum That may be what i use if we end up doing this. Have a raise_upto added to the .ini then have the raiseuptoamounts added also.
But like i said I'll need other peoples input in this before i add it.
Questions - Add another option raise_upto? Modify the current raise to use a raise up to amount? Don't change anything?

raise_upto as an extra option, if you must
some people, like me, dont raise unless we're prepared to go all in
so dont alter the existing raise option.

I like the idea:
i have 2 variables in my own bot: $callAmount and $raiseAmount
if $screenreadCallAmount > $callAmount then Fold else if $screenreadCallAmount * 1.5 > $raiseAmount then Call else Raise
so if its over the call amount it folds
if they raised say 60 and we were going to raise 80: 60 * 1.5 = 90, which is more than 80 so call
or if their raise was say 50 and we were going to raise 80: 50*1.5 = 75, which is less than 80 so raise

Yeah. The way i have raise is kinda messed up. If your set to raise and someone raises it just calls. Now we can check what someone raised and if our raise was going to be higher, reraise the raise. I like it. I'll mess with it when i have time.
