I signed up, grabbed the free version, i want to get the vip membership but need to test.
I installed WinPcap as instructed, from the link provided. But it tells me it's not installed, and won't run the test.
I'm running win 7 ultimate, and IE10, with a quad cpu system and an nvidia gt560 card (i think that's what it is, but regardless it's less than a year old, and is an upgraded card with 1gb RAM).
Any thoughts on what to try?

i'm sorry, it's 64bit version. I'm literate in the pc world, i know I've got the hardware. I run the test, and it's not finding WinPcap installed, even though it is. I uninstall, reboot, same issue. i have the same issue testing it in a virtual. I run numerous virtuals all the time because I'm a developer and have to test many platforms, on many different O/S / Software scenarios. i can't get it to run in any of the windows virts either. But i can understand that part being an issue, but not on my main workstation. I feel silly even having to ask for assistance, i mean i understand programming, hardware, drivers, and O/S but this doesn't give me any info except that WinPcap isn't running. I verify it's loaded in the system as well, but the test isn't recognizing it. without decompiling the test i don't know, but i'm guessing it's either running a function of that requires WinPcap or it will fail, or it's looking for the dll itself. I don't know where to troubleshoot it. I do understand what WinPcap does. well, I shouldn't say what it does, but what it allows the NIC to do., essentially letting the nic run in promiscuous mode. i've used it with wireshark before. edit: just so it's clear, to verify winpcap is there, you can see npf here this is why i don't understand the problem.

parker, did you install winpcap 32 bit on 64 bit windows, or install 32 bit windows?

Falsely determining if winpcap is installed does not signify hardware incompatibility as such, but it may still be the case.
You see, no hardware is tested if it cannot find winpcap installed in the manner it looks (see your PM)
And I have had no problems running test and bot in virtual machine (virtual box)
Thanks for clarification parker.

A full screenshot of error would help. remember to blank out identifying data, zynga rats come here you see, and they don't like bots.
